An accident has been reported on the coastal railway line near Karittha Kanda 52, Ambalangoda, in the vicinity of Kahamara Kanuwa.
As a result of the incident, train operations along the line have been disrupted. Railway authorities state that at least five office trains have been delayed due to the accident, causing inconvenience to commuters during peak hours.
Further details regarding the cause of the accident and the extent of the damage are yet to be released. Railway officials are currently working to restore normal train services as soon as possible.
