The Opposition today commenced the signing of a No-Confidence Motion against Minister of Education Harini Amarasuriya, citing alleged shortcomings in the government’s education reforms.
According to the Opposition, the motion is being brought over what it described as numerous subject-related errors and the inclusion of inappropriate content in revised educational materials, as well as the government’s failure to address these concerns in a responsible manner.
The signing ceremony was held at the Opposition Leader’s Office in Parliament under the patronage of Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, who placed the first signature on the No-Confidence Motion.
