Chief of the Army Staff of India, General Upendra Dwivedi, arrived in Sri Lanka a short while ago on a two-day official visit, according to an announcement by the Indian Ministry of Defence.

During his visit, General Dwivedi is expected to engage in high-level discussions with senior military and civil leadership in Sri Lanka. The talks are aimed at strengthening bilateral defence cooperation, with a focus on training collaboration, capacity building, and regional security.

The visit underscores the longstanding defence ties between India and Sri Lanka and reflects ongoing efforts by both countries to enhance military-to-military relations and regional stability
