The Academic Advisory Board of the National Institute of Education (NIE) has approved the removal of a lesson that contained an inappropriate website from the controversial Grade 6 English module, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said today.
The Prime Minister informed Parliament that the approval was granted yesterday (06), responding to a question raised by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa regarding the issue surrounding the module.
She assured the House that necessary steps are being taken to address concerns and ensure the suitability of educational content provided to students.
