Philippines Earthquake: Massive Quake Of 6.7 Magnitude Jolts Davao City

A strong 6.7-magnitude earthquake has struck the southern Philippines, centered near Davao City on the island of Mindanao, according to early seismic data.

 The quake struck at 3:03 a.m. UTC, 68 kilometers east of Baculin in Davao Oriental province, at a shallow 10-kilometer depth, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). There were no immediate reports of damage or ⁠injuries.

USGS said the quake struck at a depth of 10 km (6 miles) around 68 km (42 miles) east ⁠of Baculin, a village in the southern town of Hinatuan in Surigao del Sur province
