Meanwhile, the Pulathisi intercity train service is scheduled to commence on the 9th, operating every Friday from Colombo Fort to Batticaloa, and every Sunday from Batticaloa to Colombo Fort.
Sri Lanka Railways further stated that the number of train services is expected to be increased in the future, depending on passenger demand.
