The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the purchase of 350 housing units at the Harbour View Residencies project in Colombo 13 for officers of the Sri Lanka Police.
Located on Cyril C Perera Mawatha, the residential complex consists of 452 units spread across 14 floors and was developed to provide housing for officers serving in government and semi-government institutions.
As part of the plan, the Urban Development Authority will construct adequate parking facilities to support the housing units. The initiative is aimed at improving the living conditions of police officers and enhancing the efficiency and quality of service in Colombo and the surrounding areas of the Western Province.
The Cabinet approval followed a proposal submitted by the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs.
