The event marked official launch of the revamped SLFI website with new features including online payment gateway integrated with GovPay payment facility, e- library access and online access to students results and admissions and relaunch of the Newsletter ‘SLF News’, a periodical publication aimed at disseminating information about the institute’s activities.
The event also witnessed the launch of Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC)accredited NVQ courses strengthening educational standards and introduction of partner programmes contributing to the national economy.
The Deputy Minister expressed her willingness to guide and support the mandate of the SLFI in strengthening the Institute’s role and re-establishing its prominence as a centre for social progress.
The event was attended by the chairperson of the Sri Lanka foundation Institute Prof. Seetha Bandara, Director General (Actg.) Mrs G N K Wijetunge, Director Academic Dr Saman Weerawanse, Director Finance (Actg.) K A D Kalubogoda , Assistant Director Thushani Bulumulle, Officials of the Ministry of Mass Media, Heads of Departments of SLFI and staff of SLFI.
