The Ministry stated that this decision was taken in view of the prevailing disaster situation in the country and the damage caused to the school system and transportation networks in several provinces.
The extension of school hours will not be implemented until both the education system and the transport services are fully restored to normal conditions.
The statement further noted that a detailed circular outlining this decision will be issued today (January 2).
The Ministry emphasized that the measure is intended to ensure the safety and convenience of students, teachers, and parents during the ongoing recovery process.
