As part of the government’s Road to Revival programme, development work on 76 rural roads will commence from January 1, 2026, aimed at improving the quality of life in rural areas and expanding public transportation facilities.
The Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development has allocated Rs. 5,000 million for the first phase of the project. Officials said the initiative will strengthen connectivity between villages, provide easier access to markets and essential services, and boost the rural economy.
The programme forms part of broader efforts to enhance infrastructure and promote balanced regional development across the country.
