As part of this programme, air tickets were awarded yesterday (30) to six caregiving professionals belonging to the 191st group departing for Israel to take up home-based caregiving jobs. The event was held at the SLBFE under the patronage of Additional General Manager (Corporate Affairs) A.K.U. Rohana.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the SLBFE and Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA), a total of 2,628 Sri Lankans have so far received employment opportunities in Israel’s caregiving sector.
The Bureau emphasized that these job opportunities are provided strictly under the bilateral MoU between Sri Lanka and Israel, and therefore urged the public not to make any payments to individuals or third parties in an attempt to secure such employment.
