The Foreign Minister left the country on SriLankan Airlines flight UL 189 bound for Dhaka. He is travelling to represent Sri Lanka at the funeral ceremony.
Begum Khaleda Zia, a former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, passed away at the age of 79 following a prolonged illness. Her funeral ceremony is scheduled to be held later this evening in Bangladesh.
