Showers may occur at several places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Kankasanthurai to Hambantota via Trincomalee. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the other sea areas around the island.
Winds:
Winds will be northerly to north-easterly and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph.
Wind speed can increase up to 45 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Galle via Colombo.
State of Sea:
The sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Galle via Colombo will be fairly rough at times.
The other sea areas around the island will be moderate.
Temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
