Special market raids and investigations were carried out in the Mahawa area of Kurunegala to identify traders selling rice at prices exceeding the Maximum Retail Price (MRP).
The inspections were conducted by relevant authorities as part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with price regulations and to protect consumers from unfair pricing practices. Traders found violating the MRP are expected to face legal action in accordance with existing laws.
