The alert was related to a flight that arrived from Doha at 8.27 a.m., carrying 245 passengers. Reports indicate that an email sent to the official BIA email address claimed that four individuals on board were preparing to carry out an explosion.
Upon receiving the information, airport authorities immediately contacted the pilot to verify the situation. The pilot confirmed that there was no security threat on board the aircraft.
Despite this assurance, as a precautionary measure, the aircraft was directed to a secure isolation area after landing. All passengers and crew members were safely disembarked, and a comprehensive inspection of the aircraft was carried out by airport security personnel with the assistance of the bomb disposal unit and other relevant security agencies.
Police later stated that no suspicious items were found during the inspection, confirming that the threat was false.
Following the completion of security checks, the aircraft was cleared and returned to the normal operational area of the BIA. The flight subsequently departed for Doha, Qatar at 1.07 p.m.
Airport authorities emphasized that all necessary safety protocols were followed to ensure the security of passengers and staff.
