The Indian Government has donated a consignment of medicines and medical equipment worth over Rs. 500,000 to the Kandy Cancer Society to support patients undergoing cancer treatment.

The donation was handed over recently on the 24th by the Office of the Indian Assistant High Commissioner. The medical supplies are intended to enhance patient care and assist those receiving treatment for cancer at the Kandy Cancer Society.

Officials stated that the initiative reflects India’s continued commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector and strengthening bilateral cooperation in humanitarian assistance.
