A medical plane from Mexico crashed into Galveston Bay on Monday, killing at least five people and injuring two, authorities said.

The crash occurred just west of the Galveston Causeway. The United States Coast Guard received a call about the incident around 3:15 p.m. and responded immediately. Video from the scene showed at least one child being pulled from the water and loaded onto an ambulance.

According to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, the plane departed from Merida, Mexico, and was headed to Galveston with at least one pediatric burn patient on board.

According to an updated report from the Mexican Navy (SEMAR) at 8:45 p.m. Monday, the status of personnel and passengers is as follows:
