Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education addressed a program held at the Ministry of Education on December 18 to raise awareness about new arguments and preventing all types of violence and toxic drugs in universities.

Universities should prevent turning into drug trade and delivery centers that are a big threat to the national economy and security. Students should demonstrate commitment, sharing from higher education institutions and abolishing drugs, such as university students united to help the student community during national disaster times.

Education, Higher Education and Business Education Minister Kalanidhi Harini Amarasuriya spoke at the event held at the Ministry of Education on December 18 for awareness about university sharing and prevention of all types of violence and abolition of drugs

Universities must not be allowed to become centres for the promotion and sale of drugs, which pose a serious threat to the national economy and security. Just as universities came together to support their communities during times of national disaster, they must also unite to eradicate bullying and drug abuse within higher education institutions.
