India Under-19 defeated Sri Lanka Under-19 by eight wickets in the first semi-final of the U19 Asia Cup in Dubai to book a place in the final.
After a five-hour rain delay, the match was reduced to 20 overs per side. India produced a disciplined bowling performance to restrict Sri Lanka to 138 for 8.
Chasing 139, India lost captain Ayush Mhatre and 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi early, but steady half-centuries from Vihaan Malhotra and Aaron George guided the team to victory. Malhotra remained unbeaten on 61 as India reached the target comfortably.
India will now face arch-rivals Pakistan in the final on Sunday, after Pakistan defeated Bangladesh in the second semi-final.
