The Met Department noted that rainfall in the range of 75mm to 100mm is likely in these regions during the forecast period, urging the public to remain alert to possible weather-related hazards.
The Department of Meteorology has forecast a significant increase in rainfall across several parts of the island from tomorrow (09) until December 12.
According to the latest advisory, heavy showers are expected in the Northern, Eastern, North-Central, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Nuwara Eliya, and Matale districts.
