Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today ordered that the case against former Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra and 14 others be taken up again on March 16.
The Kurunduwatte Police filed the case, alleging that the group staged an unlawful street performance near Independence Square on 14 November 2022, in violation of the Police Ordinance and the Thoroughfares Ordinance.
When the matter was called, Police informed the Court that the case file had been forwarded to the Attorney General for further instructions.
Premachandra and the other female suspects were present in Court when the case was taken up.
