During the briefing, the Director General of the Disaster Management Centre presented an update on the progress of nationwide relief operations, including emergency response, humanitarian assistance, and ongoing recovery projects.
Officials emphasized that efforts are being accelerated to restore affected regions and ensure public safety.

The Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority noted that despite the challenges posed by the disaster, the country’s tourism sector continues to operate without interruption, ensuring the safety and smooth travel of visitors.
Diplomatic representatives in attendance reaffirmed their commitment to support Sri Lanka during this critical period, expressing readiness to extend further assistance to strengthen relief and recovery efforts.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that continued international cooperation remains essential as Sri Lanka works to overcome the impacts of the disaster and rebuild affected communities.
