Showers Expected as Northeast Monsoon Establishes Across Sri Lanka
The Department of Meteorology states that with the gradual establishment of the Northeast Monsoon after December 4, rainy weather conditions can be expected once again across the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Central, and Uva Provinces.
Residents living in hilly and landslide-prone areas are urged to remain alert to early landslide warnings and strictly follow safety instructions issued by authorities. Those who observe any early signs of landslides are advised to evacuate the area immediately.
