The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to provide an additional Mahapola installment to support university students affected by the island-wide adverse weather conditions, the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education said.
The Ministry noted that one installment had already been paid on the 28th to help students resume academic activities with fewer difficulties amid the disruptions caused by severe weather.
In addition, the UGC will also release the Mahapola installment scheduled for the 5th of this month.
