The Ministry of Industries has announced that businesses affected by the impact of Cyclone Ditwah can now report their industry-related damages through a dedicated data collection system.

A special hotline 071 266 6660 has been introduced to provide awareness and assistance regarding affected industries. The Ministry urges all business owners whose operations have been impacted to submit their information as soon as possible.

According to the Ministry, this data-gathering process has been launched to support the rebuilding and recovery of industries affected by the disaster. All information must be submitted before 2:00 p.m. on December 16, either via www.industry.gov.lk or https://aid.floodsupport.org/business-impact.

Business owners may also obtain necessary support and guidance from officers of the Ministry of Industries who are stationed at local Divisional Secretariats and District Secretariats.

The Ministry states that once the data collection is complete, it will coordinate and provide the required assistance to help industries recover and resume operations.

Furthermore, the Ministry calls on all industrial stakeholders to work collectively and cooperatively to rebuild the sector and strengthen the national economy.
