Former Minister C.B. Rathnayake has been remanded until December 16 following his arrest by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC). Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama issued the remand order today.
Rathnayake was taken into custody under Section 23(A)(1) of the Bribery Act in connection with offences alleged to have been committed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. .
