The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) has announced that parking fees within Colombo city limits will be temporarily suspended to assist residents affected by Cyclone Ditwah.
According to the CMC, the decision was taken on the instructions of the Mayor and will be in effect from 6:00 p.m. today (02) until midnight on December 05.
The measure aims to ease the burden on people displaced by the severe weather, many of whom have sought assistance from the municipal authorities.
