Sri Lanka records over 2.1 m tourist arrivals in first eleven months

Sri Lanka has crossed a significant milestone in its tourism industry, recording over 2.1 million tourist arrivals during the first eleven months of the year.

According to the latest data, 212,906 foreign tourists visited the country in November alone. This marks a 16% increase compared to November last year, reflecting strong growth in the sector.

The month of October also showed impressive performance, with 165,103 arrivals, representing a 29% rise year-on-year.

With these consistent increases, Sri Lanka’s tourism industry continues its upward momentum, positioning the country for a strong finish by the end of the year.
