The Provincial Director of Education has announced that all Muslim schools in the Uva Province will remain closed tomorrow (27) and the following day due to the prevailing heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, the Department of Irrigation reports that several major rivers are currently reaching spill levels as of this afternoon. Residents living in low-lying areas near these rivers are strongly advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
