The Department of Meteorology reports that a low-pressure area has formed over the South Andaman Sea and is expected to move west-northwest, developing into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 24, 2025.

It is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm within the following 48 hours.

As a result, wind speeds in the sea region bounded by 04N–10N and 90E–100E are expected to increase to 70–75 kmph at times, accompanied by heavy thundershowers. Sea conditions in these zones will become very rough. Naval and fishing communities are strongly advised not to venture into these areas and those already operating there should move away immediately.
