The Kalkuda Police have launched an investigation after a 39-year-old resident of Polonnaruwa went missing while swimming at Pasikuda beach.
Police said the individual was reportedly swept away by waves. A joint search operation is underway, involving police lifeguards, Navy personnel, and local residents.
The Kalkuda Police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
