Meanwhile, special transport arrangements have been made for students travelling to Kandy and Kadugannawa areas to sit for the GCE Advanced Level examination scheduled for today (24). The Mawanella and Kadugannawa bus depots will operate safe transport services for these students.
The Kegalle District Secretary has also urged the general public to refrain from visiting the landslide-affected area, noting that unnecessary gatherings could hinder ongoing assessments. The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) also reiterated this request, emphasizing public safety.
