The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) has announced that several areas in the Galle and Matara districts have been inundated, causing significant travel difficulties for residents.
In response, special transport arrangements have been made for students sitting for the GCE Advanced Level examination. According to the Commissioner General of Examinations, A.K.S. Indika Kumari Liyanage, the DMC has deployed several boats to ensure students can safely reach their respective examination centres.
She added that all necessary measures are currently being implemented to support uninterrupted access for affected students.
