All Divisional Secretaries across the island have been summoned to Colombo for an important discussion on the government’s development agenda for 2026.
According to the Presidential Media Division, the meeting is scheduled to take place today (22) at the Main Hall of Temple Trees, with the aim of raising awareness on upcoming national development programs and the ‘Prajashakthi’ rural development initiative.
The session will be held under the patronage of Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.
Officials stated that the Divisional Secretaries will receive extensive briefings on the implementation of the Prajashakthi program—one of the government’s flagship initiatives aimed at eliminating rural poverty through grassroots-level development.
