The budget of the Padiyathalawa Pradeshiya Sabha, which was under the control of the Compass, has been defeated for the second consecutive time.
The vote, held yesterday (21), saw 07 members voting in favour of the budget and 12 voting against it.
According to reports, all seven National People’s Power (NPP) members supported the budget, while members representing the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), United National Party (UNP), Sarva Jana Balaya, and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) voted against it.
