Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man with injuries was discovered inside a three-wheeler near the 4th lane of Gammana Road in the Maharagama Police Division last night (21).
The body was found following a tip-off received by the Maharagama Police. According to police, the deceased is a 57-year-old resident of Galgamuwa, Kurunegala.
A magisterial inquest is scheduled to be conducted to determine the cause of death.
The Maharagama Police are continuing investigations to ascertain whether the incident is a homicide.
