Airport sources confirmed that the aircraft, the world’s largest passenger airliner currently in commercial service, diverted to Colombo to provide urgent medical assistance to the affected passenger.
This marks the first time since March 2023 that an Emirates A380 has landed at Katunayake International Airport.
