Parliamentary probe proposed into release of 323 containers

Chief Opposition Organizer MP Gayantha Karunathilaka has submitted a proposal to Parliament calling for the appointment of a Parliamentary Select Committee to investigate the release of 323 containers without mandatory physical inspection.

The proposed committee is expected to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident and report its findings to Parliament.
