Three SriLankan Airlines flights returning from Mumbai, Riyadh, and Guangzhou were safely diverted to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) this morning due to heavy mist causing low visibility over the Katunayake area.
Airport authorities confirmed that all passengers and crew arrived safely. Normal operations at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) are expected to resume once visibility improves.
