Sri Lanka’s tourism earnings reach $2.66 Billion in 2025

Sri Lanka earned $2,659 million from tourism in the first ten months of 2025, marking a 4.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) reported.

Earnings in October 2025 amounted to $186.1 million.

According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), the country welcomed 1,972,957 tourists from January to 12 November 2025, with India, the United Kingdom, and Russia as the top source markets. Tourist arrivals between 1 and 12 November totaled 82,270.
