Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau marks 40th anniversary at Temple trees

The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau celebrated its 40th anniversary today at Temple Trees. The event highlighted several key initiatives aimed at strengthening support for migrant workers and their families.

During the ceremony, foreign employment service providers were formally recognized for their contributions to the sector. Financial assistance was also extended for the educational needs of children of Sri Lankans working overseas. In addition, returning migrant workers were provided support to establish small and medium-scale enterprises, helping them reintegrate into local economic activity.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya graced the occasion as the chief guest. Minister Vijitha Herath and Deputy Minister Arun Hemachandra, along with other dignitaries and senior officials including the Chairman of the Foreign Employment Bureau, were also in attendance.
