Sri Lanka scored 288 for 8 in the second One-Day International of the three-match series played in Rawalpindi today. Janith Liyanage led the innings with a solid 54 off 63 balls, while Kamindu Mendis (44) and Sadeera Samarawickrama (42) added valuable contributions. Wanindu Hasaranga provided a late boost with an unbeaten 37 off 26 deliveries.

Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed and Haris Rauf claimed three wickets each. Pakistan had earlier won the toss and opted to field. Sri Lanka trails the series 0-1 after a narrow six-run defeat in the opening match.
