The discussion focused on Sri Lanka’s current political climate and the longstanding bilateral relations between the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka. During the meeting, the High Commissioner reaffirmed the UK’s continued support for Sri Lanka.
The talks also covered Silva’s upcoming official visit to the United Kingdom, scheduled for November 21.
First Secretary for Political Affairs at the British High Commission, Tom Soper, and Political Adviser Insaf Markar joined the meeting. Attorney-at-law Madhu Kalpana represented the JVP.
