At least 15 people were injured when a passenger bus collided with a tipper truck in the Kiula area of Ambalantota this evening, according to police.
Police stated that three of the injured individuals are in critical condition and have been admitted to the Hambantota Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred along the Tangalle–Ambalantota main road, and both vehicles sustained severe damage. Preliminary investigations suggest that excessive speed may have contributed to the collision.
Ambalantota Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
