Two individuals, including Vinod — believed to be the leader of the notorious Ava gang — have been arrested by the Chunnakam Police.
The arrests were made yesterday (11) during a special police raid conducted at two separate locations.
Police recovered 2 grams and 400 milligrams of heroin from Vinod at the time of his arrest. A hand grenade and a sword were seized from his accomplice.
Both suspects are currently in police custody, and steps are being taken to produce them before the courts.
Police investigations are continuing to determine the extent of the suspects’ involvement in organized criminal activities in the Northern Province.
