The “Presidential Media Awards – 2025”, organized to recognize the services rendered by media professionals, will be held today (11) at 3:00 p.m. under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre.
The event aims to appreciate the skills, talents, and outstanding contributions of media personnel in fostering a socially responsible media culture.
Awards will be presented in several categories, including television, radio, print, web media, media research, and school media units.
In addition, the “Madhyabhimani” Lifetime Achievement Awards, presented only once in a journalist’s career along with cash prizes, will be awarded to six distinguished veterans of the media field.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Health and Media.
