Nearly 62,000 tourists visit Sri Lanka in November so far

A total of 61,890 tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka during the first part of November 2025, according to the latest data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

India continues to remain the leading source market, with 15,541 visitors, accounting for 25.1% of total arrivals this month. Meanwhile, 8,220 tourists have arrived from Russia, followed by 4,740 from Germany, 4,450 from the United Kingdom, and 2,614 from France.

With these arrivals, the total number of tourists visiting Sri Lanka in 2025 has now reached 1,952,577, showing steady growth in the tourism sector.

According to the SLTDA, India remains the top contributor with 438,946 visitors so far this year, followed by the United Kingdom (179,277), Russia (141,860), Germany (121,481), and China (114,547).

Tourism authorities say the continued rise in arrivals reflects renewed global confidence in Sri Lanka as a preferred travel destination and expect momentum to strengthen further during the upcoming festive season.
