The Prime Minister recalled that 2,000 housing deeds were recently handed over to members of the plantation community by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, providing greater security and stability.
She also highlighted the 2026 budget proposal to increase daily wages for plantation workers from Rs. 1,350 to Rs. 1,750, including a daily attendance incentive of Rs. 200, starting January 2026.
