Sri Lanka claims Bowl Championship at Hong Kong Sixes

Sri Lanka secured the Bowl Championship at the Hong Kong Sixes Cricket Tournament after defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 21 runs in the final held today (9).

Batting first, Sri Lanka posted a total of 106 for 2 in their allotted six overs, with Sachitha Jayathilake playing a brilliant unbeaten knock of 52 runs. In reply, the UAE team managed only 85 for 2, giving Sri Lanka a well-deserved victory.

Earlier, Sri Lanka booked their place in the final by defeating India by 48 runs. Openers Lahiru Samarakoon and captain Lahiru Madushanka both scored unbeaten half-centuries as Sri Lanka piled up 138 runs without losing a wicket. India could only manage 90 for 3 in response.

With this performance, Sri Lanka concluded the tournament on a high note, displaying powerful batting and strong teamwork throughout the competition.
