Pradeep Nilanga Dela has been re-elected as the Diyawadana Nilame of the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) following an election held today (07) at the Senkadagala Buddhist Hall in Kandy.
The election was conducted under the supervision of the Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs. Representatives of the Buddhist clergy and lay trustees participated in the voting process.
Pradeep Nilanga Dela, who has held the prestigious post since 2005, will continue to oversee the administration and traditional duties of the Sri Dalada Maligawa for another term.
